Allergy is considered to be the sixth leading cause of chronic illness according to the American Academy of Allergy, Immunology and Asthma. It is estimated that more than 40 to 50 million people are affected with allergy.
The infections are destroyed by the white blood cells as the immune system sends them to fight against the infection. Immune system of our body mistakenly finds the nontoxic substances to be invaders. The white blood cells overact causing the invaders, which affects the bodies.
Due to the allergy sometimes it varies from watery eyes, sneezing, coughing, itching, shortness of breath and headaches. Secondarily bacterial infections could also invade in which includes ear infections and sinusitis.
Some very common allergies include latex, pollens, cosmetics, dust mites, chemicals, animal dander, metals, food, medicine, food activities and mold. The allergic reactions are classified as mild, moderate, and severe. At specific areas the mild infections affects namely watery eyes, cold and sneezing. Anaphylaxis is the most rigorous allergic reaction, which is rare and life-threatening too.
The allergy cannot be prevented but by changing the environment, upto some extent the allergy can be destroyed.
